SatCTM’s Berlin Current, an initiative that presents young, unconventional, and experimental pop music from Berlin, travels to Bucharest to present two of its supported artists.
The industrial-inspired duo OAKE, and Janus resident Lotic, an artist inspired by chopped and screwed / pop culture critical delirium, alongside Golden Pudel resident Helena Hauff and Christian S, an artist belonging to Mathias Aguayo’s Comeme collective.
The Rokolectiv festival takes place annually in Bucharest in April. For the last 3 years, the festival has presented Dekolectiv, a night dedicated to the German electronic music scene, upon invitation from the Goethe-Institut Bukarest. The event takes place in an industrial space close to Parcul Carol, a former Hesper factory who’s unused building is in danger of imminent demolition. Currently known as Halele Carol, the space is being transformed into a cultural hub.
Under the Dekolectiv banner, Rokolectiv events have traveled over the country, from Bucharest to Iași and the Transylvanian towns of Cluj and Sibiu, presenting artists such as Mouse on Mars, Prosumer, Jan Jelinek & Andrew Pekler, Jacob Korn, Heatsick, Pollyester, Dompteur Mooner, Patric Catani, and more.
