Danish electronic pop trio Efterklang joins forces with Finland’s best-known improv drummer Tatu Rönkko for a special programme. Named Liima, the collaboration will have graced only a handful of festivals before coming to CTM in January. Efterklang’s 15-year career in the alchemy of gentle, luminous, and warm pop music is amplified by Rönkko’s versatility as a percussionist.

Colombian native and Berlin resident Lucrecia Dalt’s iridescent, tangly pop will provide a prelude. While highly technical, Dalt’s music maintains a profound emotionality, merging accessible, traditional songwriting with experimental electronics, handcrafted effects and sampling. In addition to several underground releases, she has put forth two albums on L.A.-based Human Ear Music, a label known for backing genre-bending experimentalists Ariel Pink and Julia Holter.
