WedEmma Robertson speaks with Swedish composer and producer Maria W Horn and cellist Lucy Railton about their practice, and to explore their inspiration and approach.
While Railton only released her debut album, Paradise 94, in 2018, she has been making a name for herself in contemporary music for years.
Horn is known for her use of minimal structures and piercing power electronics, in addition to her activities in Sthlm Drone Society and role as label head of XKatedral.
The talks takes place as Horn and Railton joins the 2019 of SHAPE, a platform that re-unites 16 European non-profit festivals and organisations and aims to support, promote and exchange innovative and aspiring emergent musicians and interdisciplinary artists with an interest in sound.
SHAPE is supported by the Creative Europe programme of the European Union.
