"Musicmaker's Dystopia: The Automation of Songwriting, Production, and Curation" presentation by Gene Kogan. Hosted by Peter Kirn and Ioann Maria.

In his talk, Gene Kogan will examine the ways in which machine learning augments the composer's workstation, including compositional assistant tools sorting large media collections and deep generative models for audio synthesis.

Ioann Maria[PL/UK]

Ioann Maria is a new media artist, filmmaker, and computer scientist. Ioann’s work is focused on hacktivism, electronic surveillance, computer security, human-machine interaction, and interactive physical systems. In her solo and collaborative projects she explores new methods in real-time audio-visual performance.

Gene Kogan[US/DE]

Gene Kogan is an artist and a programmer who is interested in generative systems, computer science, and software for creativity and self-expression. He is a collaborator within numerous open-source software projects, and gives workshops and lectures on topics at the intersection of code and art.
