This Saturday-night lineup as part of CTM Festival is designed to take full advantage of Club Ost’s custom-built, eight-stack soundsystem.

On his latest album as Special Request, expert techno/house stalwart Paul Woolford takes as his inspiration the unruly conventions of UK pirate radio stations, capturing the raw energy of illegal airwaves via murky house, darkside techno, and eye-of-the-storm hardcore/jungle tear-outs. He will deliver a  DJ set reflecting in-depth mastery of audiotechnical intricacies.

Beloved, single-minded footwork enchanter Jlin will revisit the festival, this time with a live, percussion-heavy set showcasing material from her latest album, Black Origami. The album was largely inspired by her ongoing collaboration with dancer and movement artist Avril Stormy Unger.

Errorsmith, one of the Berlin scene’s quiet gems, is making waves with a new critically acclaimed album on PAN, his first in 13 years. Oscillating between humour and unease, Planet Mu signee Antwood produces delicate and uncanny cyber-ecosystems in reaction to subversive advertising, the ubiquity of ads, and the commodification of online content. Phon.o will bring a signature euphoric DJ set with sounds ranging from UK house to dubstep and techno. His brand-new UK-styled 12" was sent out into the world via Pinch’s label Cold recordings, receiving rave reviews and support from DJs like Answer Code Request, Paula Temple, Modeselektor, and Andrew Souto. Fresh off a mix for Room 4 Resistance and with an upcoming set recorded for Radio Cómeme, Florida native DJ Occult flips the script on ghettotech and booty bass, reclaiming those low subs for a dancefloor with "zero misogyny, zero predatory vibes & zero judgement, baby". Pittsburgh native and VIA Festival founder Boo Lean opens the night.

ARTISTS

Special Request[UK]

In his 2012-reincarnated project Special Request, UK techno & house linchpin Paul Woolford takes as his inspiration the unruly conventions of UK pirate radio stations, capturing the raw energy of illegal airwaves via murky house, darkside techno, and eye-of-the-storm hardcore/jungle tear-outs.

Jlin[US]

Jerrilynn Patton or Jlin is emerged as one of footwork’s most original and unfeigned voices. Her debut LP, Dark Energy, was released in 2015 on Planet Mu to critical acclaim, and she has since followed it up with 2017’s equally ferocious Black Origami.

Boo Lean[US]

Boo Lean (Lauren Goshinski), is an audio-visual curator and DJ behind some key underground platforms in North America. As a curator for New Forms Festival, co-founder of the VIA Festival, and resident DJ/booker at Hot Mass, she’s been recognized as one of the "top 50 women making noise" both on and off the stage.

Antwood[CA]

Tristan Douglas is Antwood (formerly Margaret Antwood), a Canadian artist and microbiologist concerned with online life and artificial intelligence. He recently released his second LP via Planet Mu.

Phon.o[DE]

With releases and collaborations on lauded outlets like Boysnoize Records, Bpitch Control, Tectonic, and 50WEAPONS, via which he put out the seminal album Black Boulder, Phon.o has been privileged to work with some of electronic music's flashiest names: Diplo, Modeselektor, Funkstörung, Mixhell, Apparat, Sinkane...

DJ Occult[US/DE]
