Visitor Info

Accessibility

We have a dedicated contact person for those with questions about visiting CTM Festival as a person with special needs. This person can provide information about venue accessibility, or programme details relating to volume, lighting effects (stroboscope), or any other condition that could affect sensitive individuals. Please contact us at accessibility@ctm-festival.de for more information.

Specific Accessibility Info for CTM 2019

Wheelchair/Reduced Mobility

Please also note that all CTM venues (with the exception of Studio 1 at Kunstquartier Bethanien, Griessmuehle Room 2, and Paloma Bar) are wheelchair accessible. Venue staff can be asked for help with regards to mobility and elevator usage. The CTM exhibition opening (on Friday 25.1.) is traditionally very full, which may also present mobility problems for wheelchair users.

We offer free access for an accompanying person for holders of a ”Schwerbehinderten Ausweis mit Kategorie B” card. Please get in touch with us in advance to make arrangements. Likewise, if you are unable to pick up your pass at Kunstquartier Bethanien, please get in touch with us.

Handicapped parking spaces can be found near HAU1 and HAU2 – more information and exact locations are available via their accessibility sections locations (both in German and in English).

Persons taking public transit may check the current status of elevators at the subway stops nearest each venue, via the BVG (both in German and English). The CTM Venue Map is also available online.

Visibility & Lighting

Please note that audience members will be blindfolded for the Love and Rage performances at DAAD.

Strobes will be in use at the following events:

29.1. – HAU2
30.1. – HAU1

Strobes may also be used during club nights.

Language

Our team shares a wide pool of languages between all of us – please ask our staff if you require assistance in a language other than English and German and we will do our best to accommodate you. Please note that CTM’s daytime discourse programme takes place in English.
