Hailing from Portugal, Fumaça’s sets display a pride in the sounds of her home country. She weaves Portuguese rhythms into global bass sounds and plays, in her own words, to “make booties bounce and bodies get closer.” 

Playing freeform, noisy sets, Fumaça counts the likes of Badsista, Ikonika, and Dis Fig as influences. As a visual artist, she has contributed to Berlin community magazine The Chop, Madrid-based design studio Futuro., and Colorama publication Clubhouse.
