OG Maco
[US]
OG Maco is one of the most talked-about young talents in Atlanta's rap scene and is, according to Billboard, "bringing the slurry, slanted sound of Mystikal into the age of cloud-rap."
The artist formerly known as Maco Mattox broke with his 2014 single "U Guessed It," which shot to the upper ranks of the Hot 100 list and was remixed by 2 Chainz. The low-budget video for the track, which trails Maco and his friends as they wreak havoc through the halls of a Four Seasons hotel, has over forty million hits. He then signed to Quality Control, the Atlanta's rap scene's flagship label overseen by Kevin "Coach K" Lee, the former manager of both Gucci Mane and Jeezy. In an attempt to hone in on a cohesive sound, Maco has released a slew of mixtapes and EPs since, and in 2015, he was named to XXL Magazine's Freshman Class. His debut full-length, Children of the Rage, lands in 2016.
