He began building his own electronic music instruments in the 1950s, and has released over 100 musical works throughout his prolific career, some of the most well known being his Nordic Nature Symphonies and Music for Relaxation and Meditation. He has scored films and ballets, and his song “Out in the Wide World” serves as the signature tune for Radio Sweden International broadcasts.

Lundsten currently resides in Castle Frankenburg in Nacka outside Stolkholm, which also houses his famed picture and electronic music studio, Andromeda.
